Go on an epic adventure around Northern Indiana’s Kosciusko County by following our Adventure Challenge Passport. Discover all of the hidden gems in the area, from tour boats to magical fairy gardens to America’s biggest egg. If you’re new to the area, use this as a tourist guide to all of the coolest places. If you’re a resident, take the opportunity to be a tourist in your hometown with this passport.

Dixie Sternwheeler
The Dixie Sternwheeler is Indiana’s oldest sternwheel tour boat, cruising beautiful Webster Lake since 1929. Refurbished and now on the National Registry of Historic Places, the Dixie offers 90-minute cruises with narration and music available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend each evening, and during the day on Sundays. Popcorn, candy, and soft drinks are available on board. Take a ride on this fun and historic attraction.

Etna Green Museum
Come discover the history of the town of Etna Green at this museum in Heritage Park. There are many items from the Etna Green School Alumni along with the basketball teams’ memorabilia. Before you leave town, be sure to see the mural painted by Robert A. Hudson at Remembrance Park on SR 19 in downtown Etna Green.
Fairy Village
The Fairy Village is located in Himalayan Salt & Scents in the Superior Landscape Products building in Warsaw. This Fairy Village is built around and inside of a real 13,000-pound Sycamore tree stump. Enjoy this whimsical, magical fairyland display and find inspiration and supplies to build your own fairy garden.
Mentone Egg
The Mentone Egg boasts being the second largest man-made egg in America. It is made of concrete, weighs 3,000 pounds, and is about 10 feet high. It was originally constructed in 1946 to advertise the local egg festival. It's inscribed with " The Egg Basket of the Midwest" and a basket of eggs within an outline-shape of Indiana.
Oakwood Tour Boat
Hit the water and take a tour of Lake Wawasee on the Oakwood Tour Boat, which is run by the Oakwood Resort. Lake Wawasee is Indiana’s largest natural lake, and this tour gives you the opportunity to explore all 27 acres of it.
Old Jail Museum
The Old Kosciusko County Jail houses the County Historical Society and Genealogy Library. Take a free, self-guided tour of the building and enjoy wonderful displays, rich history about the Old Jail and the surrounding community, and a small gift shop.
Pilcher's Shoes
Located in the iconic castle-like building which used to be the International Palace of Sports, you will find Pilcher’s Shoe Store. This location has been helping people find the perfect pair of shoes since 1947. Enjoy exploring this unique building, while finding the ideal pair of shoes in this shoe lover’s dream.
Syracuse-Wawasee Museum
Located in the Syracuse Community Center across from Lakeside Park, the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum is a popular attraction. They have had visitors from as far away as India, and no one leaves without at least one fun thing to discuss.
Village At Winona

Warsaw Biblical Gardens
Situated on approximately 3/4 acre, this biblical garden is the third largest in the US and offers more species of plants than any other except for the Holy Lands. The gardens are comprised of 6 microclimates which represent the main environments that the Bible talks about, containing over 100 plants that are named in the Bible.
Warsaw Cut Glass
You’re sure to find a treasure here – goblets, mugs, pitchers, platters and bowls, all in gleaming hand-cut crystal with a history dating back to 1911 when the Warsaw Cut Glass Company opened in this community. It is the last U.S. company cutting glass in its original building with vintage machinery. Their signature pattern is “rye,” a delicate floral design carved into many of the works. However, they have over 50 different patterns they can cut into their glass creations. Explore their store and find the perfect piece to take home with you. Glass cutting demonstrations are not guaranteed, and you must call ahead for availability if you are interested.

The Winona History Center tells the story of beautiful Winona Lake from 1895 – 1968. The museum is located within historic Westminster Hall on the campus of Grace College. Visitors will learn about the development of Spring Fountain Park, Winona’s significance as a Chautauqua site, the energetic evangelist Billy Sunday, and gospel music pioneer, Homer Rodeheaver. Stop in and explore the amazing, celebrity-filled history of Winona Lake.
